“The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone”
(Psalm 118:22).
Our Savior, Our Messiah, the Lover of our soul was rejected here on Earth. Rejected to the point of death on a cross. He knew that He would be rejected. But because of his strong, unwavering love for us, He came so that we could have everlasting life with Him in Heaven. He didn’t need us, but couldn’t imagine Heaven without us with Him. Because He loves us so. I am in such awe as we enter holy week of Christ’s passionate, radiating love for us, for me. I am so grateful to Christ who loves me and is my stronghold. In the midst of the storms of life, he is our rock that we can cling to if we choose Him. He doesn’t force us but instead longs for us. And when we turn to Him, he can miraculously transform us. Within this image of this rock for me is a grateful heart. A heart that is strengthened by Him. His love, His mercy, His power and strength. Each day, I will choose to be grateful. I choose joy. I choose Christ.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil 4:13).
“I love you, LORD, my strength,
LORD, my rock, my fortress, my deliverer,
My God, my rock of refuge,
my shield, my saving horn, my stronghold!” (Psalm 18:2-3).
